Dr. A. M. Valori B.Sc., M.B., F.R.C.S.Ed.
Dr Valori has pursued a career in General Practice for over twenty-five years, but now is wholly involved with headache management. Having trained at St Andrews and Manchester Universities, he gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1981. Initially, he pursued an Orthopaedic career from which grew the enduring interest in anatomical factors in pain management and muscle dynamics, which has been his active research focus ever since. Dr Valori has treated patients with Migraine in Harley Street, at the London Independent Hospital and at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, where he has run the Migraine Clinic in the Department of Neurology for thirty years, for the last fifteen as Trust Practitioner.
He is a member of the International Headache Society, the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH), of which he has been on the council, a member of the AngloDutch Migraine Association (ADMA), of which he has been chairman, and had membership of the Cervicogenic International Study Group, the American Headache Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine.
He has presented at national and International meetings and is a regular contributor to the annual Oxford Symposium on Headache.
